- Volver a calentar el caldo, añadir 1 taza de té de agua opcional : Salchichas y el aceite de oliva. Mantener a fuego lento.
- En la olla grande, añadir el arroz, las arvejas, el morrón, el condimento para arroz, pimienta y el curry. Ir añadiéndole el caldo a medida que se evapora, para que no se pegue el arroz ni se haga una pasta.
- Por último se añade el opcional Calabaza. Si se queda sin caldo puede añadir un poco de agua para que no se peguen los ingredientes a la olla.
